Care Inspectorate Wales, Estyn, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services are undertaking a national review of the implementation of the revised Section 5 Wales Safeguarding Procedures. The review has a specific focus on how well the procedures are being implemented in respect of practitioners and persons in positions of trust with children.
This survey seeks your views about how effectively safeguarding partners work together to ensure allegations/concerns relating to practitioners and persons in positions of trust with children are managed safely, fairly, consistently and lawfully.
Section 5 of the Wales Safeguarding Procedures describe how safeguarding allegations against practitioners and persons in positions of trust should be managed across Wales. They apply in relation to any individual—paid, unpaid, employed, or self-employed—whose role brings them into contact with children or adults at risk, either directly or indirectly. It also includes individuals who have caring responsibilities for children or adults in need of care and support, and their employment or voluntary work brings them into contact with children or adults at risk.
Your responses will help identify strengths, variation, barriers and areas for improvement across Wales. Please answer based on your own role, experience and area of work. If you have more than one role please complete the survey once for each different role.
